Louis Electric Amplifiers Deltone Reverb Combo Guitar Amplifier
The Louis Electric Columbia takes a classic 1×12” Blackface and puts a spin on it for some modern updates that make it an excellent addition to your arsenal of amplifiers. The Deltone is an amp that can run two 6V6 tubes to give you 20 watts of power, or 6L6 tubes for 35 watts of power, and is a two-channel amp that gives you the option of straight up sound sans effects, or a second channel offering vibrato and reverb.
The Tremolo circuit was modified from the opto-coupled or photo-cell tremolo circuit in the blackface amps and moved to a bias modulated circuit. The Reverb circuit has also been altered from the 12AT7 driver tube to a 12AU7. This change provides a more pleasing reverb sound to the ear.
The Deltone comes standard with a 6V6 tube configuration. The amp can accommodate a 6L6 configuration with 35 Watts of output power. An additional feature with the 6L6 configuration is a 4k/8k option. This allows the player to simply switch the load to provide a cleaner or more distorted sound. The 4k option provides cleaner tones, while the 8k option will lower the wattage and provide quicker mid-range break up.
