Used 1985 Gibson Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar Ebony
Here we’ve got a great looking Gibson Les Paul Custom in its classic Black Beauty ebony finish, built back in 1985. The guitar has a solid mahogany body with a comfortable, rounded feeling mahogany neck, ebony board with block inlays, multi-ply body binding, and three covered humbucker pickups. The middle pickup is dated 1978 with a Patent number stamped into it, so it’s likely this is an aftermarket pickup that was replaced in there. The guitar is in very good shape with original frets that have a low profile to them, almost fretless-wonder-esque. The guitar has some light amount of dings and wear around the body. A very cool feature is the Schaller crank tuners with the built-in winders! The guitar has a signature on the back of the headstock that says “To Ken…”, by Peter Frampton – king of the 3-Pickup Les Paul Custom. The guitar includes an SKB hardshell case, and an original bridge pickup ring, because it had since been replaced.
