1963 Gibson ES-355 TDSV Semi-Hollow Cherry
This beautiful guitar is a 1963 Gibson ES-355 TD SV model, a class-act of a semi-hollow with a sideways tremolo, Varitone control, and two early patent number humbuckers. It has been refretted and crowned, so all notes ring out nice and clear. There are retouched solder joints, with the original pickups and harness all appearing original. It’s a factory stereo guitar that was never converted to mono and requires a stereo cable. The pickups sound incredible, much like PAF humbuckers since they are early patent number pickups.
The guitar has lacquer checking throughout the guitar, gold plating worn off of the hardware, and some paint worn down to the wood mostly around the edges and sides of the body. All in all, it comes together to make the guitar have a terrific patina while still being a very functional instrument. If you like super thin necks – you will absolutely love this 355! The original hardshell case is included with the guitar.
