1957 Gretsch Chet Atkins 6120 Hollowbody
This is a beautiful example of a 1957 Gretsch Chet Atkins 6120 model, still looking vibrant as ever with its transparent orange finish over the maple body. The guitar is in excellent condition for its age: there is finish checking around the body, a very small crack inside the treble side of the waist (being left as-is), with some finish rubbed away from the neck and buckle rash on the back. The bridge appears to have been changed to a compensated aluminum bridge, and some of the black paint on the Bigsby tailpiece has worn away. The electronics all function and sound wonderful. The original Western case is all there with working latches, and it even has an old pinup decal on the top of the case. It’s a wonderful vintage Gretsch and one of their most popular models ever made, at that!
