Used 1950’s Silvertone Espanada S1384 Electric Guitar Black
This is a mid to late 1950’s Silvertone Espanada S1384, a hollowbody guitar that was part of the offerings of Harmony guitars sold through Sears & Roebuck mail order catalogs. The Espanada was one of the key models that played a role in 1950’s Rockabilly, and this one has all of the black and white tuxedo appointments, and includes a rare vintage soft leather-like Artistic bag.
This Espanada is in overall very good condition; a piece of binding has cracked (otherwise all other areas of binding have held up), the truss rod is fully operational, a strap pin has been added and there is no longer a pickguard on the guitar. Features include a full 25.5″ scale length, two Gibson-made P-13 single-coils and bakelite art deco knobs. A very cool guitar for any enthusiast of 1950’s mail-order electrics.
