1978 Greco EX800 Natural
One of the most sought-after Greco guitars out there, this is a vintage EX800 model, truly one of the crown jewels of the “lawsuit era” of electric guitars. The EX800 is most notable for its identical construction to the Ibanez Destroyer which was used all across Van Halens first album. The guitar has the original Maxon humbucker in the neck, however had some modifications over the years which saw a changed bridge pickup and an amateur expansion and routing of the control cavity as pictured. Currently the guitar has a modern DiMarzio Super Distortion humbucker in the bridge as well as a replacement pickguard and pickup switch. It plays wonderfully and is still a collectible Greco for those after that look and sound! A modern Gibson hardshell case is included.
