Fender Custom Shop 1963 Telecaster Mahogany Heavy Relic Crimson Transparent Masterbuilt Jason Smith
This is a ’63 Mahogany Telecaster built by the very talented Masterbuilder Jason Smith! We spec’d this one to feature a Crimson Transparent finish over the slab mahogany body, and then it was paired with a quartersawn roasted maple neck. A set of ’63 Tele single-coil pickups are loaded in for ’60s Tele chime. The relic work on this one is terrific, we especially love the fading of the red into the brown mahogany!
