Fender Custom Shop Set-Neck Telecaster Masterbuilt Todd Krause Olympic White Relic
Talk about an idea that was worth the wait! This is a monster of a guitar built by the very talented Todd Krause: a Set-Neck model much like the one’s we thought up with Yuriy Shishkov years ago, but stripped down without body binding and a dot-inlaid rosewood fretboard. The guitar has a mahogany body with a set-in mahogany neck, a hardtail six-saddle bridge and two specially chosen pickups. There’s a single-coil wound by Curtis Novak in the neck with a humbucker wound by the boutique Rocket company in the bridge position with a 3-way switch and a reversed Tele control plate to keep the switch out of the way while you’re playing. The guitar is loud and resonant acoustically and roars when it’s plugged in. We love the seamless feel of the set neck on the Tele shape. This is a guitar that’s pretty hard to put down if you ask us!
