Fender Stratocaster Refinished Black 1962
Looking for a vintage Strat that’s affordable, but still got some vibe left in it? This is a players-grade 1962 Stratocaster that has been refinished and re-worked over the years that make it a great guitar over 50 years after it was first made. The guitars original components are obviously the wood, with an original tremolo block, the 250k pots, and some plastic parts such as the knobs and pickguard (cracked on the bass side of the neck pickup).
The guitar has a total refinish on the body in black, with a refinished neck and refretted (vintage size frets) fretboard, with the rosewood looking thinner than a ’62 usually would – so it was likely planed. There are some extra screw holes in the body, enlarged tuner holes, and a changed truss adjustment nut.
The neck pickup is currently at 30% output, and the bridge pickup is a modern Fender Custom Shop pickup. The guitar plays nicely and sounds great, with a non-original trem arm and later-era Fender hardshell case included.
Includes: Non Original Hardshell Case, Non Original Trem Arm
