The early 1960’s saw Gibson introduce a radically redesigned Les Paul model, meant to drive sales and move Gibson back to the forefront of electric guitar manufacturing. This modern design would become known as the SG, and influence countless imitators for years to come. The Gibson Custom Shop has reissued the classic SG Standard in a gorgeous Classic White VOS finish. Keeping the original specifications intact, this guitar features a solid Mahogany body, a solid Mahogany neck topped with a bound Rosewood fingerboard, and a classic Holly Head veneer headstock. Custom Bucker pickups deliver classic PAF-style humbucker tone, and the standard Gibson control layout lets you dial in your exact tone.
