Martin Custom Shop D-45 Bentley Snowflake Dreadnought Acoustic Natural
This is a Martin that we’ve been looking forward to for quite some time: the Limited Edition D-45 Bentley Snowflake (limited to only 25 pieces worldwide). This is a Martin Dreadnought crafted under the Custom Shop division with sitka spruce and Madagascar rosewood. The name comes from the inlays which are snowflake designs inspired by the work of William A. Bentley, the first person to photograph the up close beauty of snowflakes. Martin collaborated on these inlays with the special approval of Bentleys estate to create these 25 dreadnoughts. They combed through the archive of photos to get inlay designs for the pickguard, fretboard, bridge and neck heel. As if the D-45 wasn’t ornate already, this very special inlay set makes this an incredibly collectible instrument.
