Used 1982 Gibson Heritage Series Moderne Electric Guitar Natural Korina
A classic “re”-issue of one of the most sought after Gibson’s ever, this 1982 Moderne is based off of patent drawings filed by Ted McCarty back in 1958. No one is quite sure if any of the original Moderne prototypes were actually produced, let alone if any survived. As part of the Gibson Heritage Series, the Moderne was reissued with its Korina body carved in an ultra-radical shape that’s sure to turn heads. The Korina neck is topped with a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard that’s inlaid with simple Pearloid dots. Dual Gibson humbuckers are wired to individual Volume controls, then to a three-way switch, then to a master Tone control for easy operation. Truly a rare instrument, this Moderne is in overall excellent vintage condition. There are some light surface scratches and light buckle rash on back of body, as well as some minor cracks in the fingerboard at the fret ends.
