Bringing together the luthierie talents of the Gibson Custom Shop and the taste and style of one of the world’s best-loved axe-slingers, Billy Gibbons, has yielded this amazing signature Goldtop! Starting with the classic ’57 Goldtop as a platform, Rev. Billy designed a distinctive pinstriping pattern for his special model. Hand applied by Rick Harris, the pinstriping perfectly contrasts with the VOS Gold finish for a real Hot Rod-style look that’s unique to each instrument.
Of course, the Reverend’s tone comes through loud and clear, thanks to the dual Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbuckers. The chambered Mahogany body adds a sweetness to the sustain, making the tone cut through any mix like a knife. The Mahogany neck is carved to match Billy’s own Goldtop, for a comfortably thick feel perfect for big riffs and single-note lines.
This instrument, one of only 150 VOS models produced world wide, is in excellent condition.
