John Page Classic The AJ Electric Guitar Desert Sand
John Page is among the greatest living custom luthiers, co-founding and leading the Fender Custom Shop for its first 12 years. Renowned for creating legendary guitars for artists including Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, David Gilmour, Elliot Easton and Cesar Rosas, John has struck out on his own with John Page Guitars.
The AJ is a redesign of a single-cutaway guitar that John Page designed back when he started his own shop in 2006. Originally with a humbucker in the neck, the AJ now features a more well-matched P-90 to the single-coil bridge pickup, a manageable 13” lower bout on an alder body, medium “C” shaped maple neck, and a 3-saddle brass bridge. The AJ’s bridge pickup is reversed from other T-style guitars, giving more pronunciation to the bass and less ice-pick in the high end. An excellent workhorse guitar with a ton of player-friendly features.
